Sail Kekova with Captain Durali
Kaleüçağız Köyu, 07572 Demre/Antalya Türkiye
We meet at 10:00 at the jetty of Üçagız ready for our departure at 10.45
Bring sunscreen and towels.
We set off for our exciting Kekova day trip!
Aquarium Bay is considered to be one of the most beautiful bays in the region. It is called Aquarium Bay because of the clear water.
Our next visit is for Tersane Bay. This place was used as a shipyard in the Lycian Period. There is a church and chapel dating from the Roman Period. We may have a stop here for 30-40 minutes.
Another alternative is Esmeralda Bay.
From our boat we see the Sunken City, whose historical name is Dolichiste, on the island of Kekova.
This city was submerged by the sea after an earthquake in 2nd century.
Swimming is not allowed here but our special glass-bottomed boat allows you to see the hidden underwater ruins.
Pirate's Cave is a naturally formed cave. It is also a frequent destination for Mediterranean seals.
Since swimming is prohibited here, we take pictures from the boat and proceed towards Gökkaya Bay.
We stop at Gökkaya Bay for about 1 hour for a swimming and lunch break.
Gökkaya Bay is an ideal spot for swimming and water sports at the same time.
After Gökkaya Bay, we take a swimming break in Hamidiye Bay. This bay is a completely historical and iodine-rich bay. We enjoy the sea here.
And then we set off for Simena Kale Village.
Our boat will drop anchor in Kaleköy port (ancient Simena) for about an hour, giving you time to visit this authentic village with its gift shops, homemade ice-creams and the famous castle.
Sandy Pier is the name of this very beautiful cove with clear turquoise water. Perfect for our last swimming break. We then have some fruit and sail back to Üçağız arriving around 17:00.
We say goodbye and hope to see you again on one of our boat trips.
